1.Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use the iPhone app My Daily Prayer Journal: Bible ("the app"). By using it, you agree to them and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). If these terms and the Standard EULA ever conflict, the Standard EULA wins for anything it covers. "We" and "us" means OLVR Studio (UEN 53534746D), the Singapore business that makes the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app uses and how to delete it.
2.Using the app
- You need to be at least 13 to use the app, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms (or have a parent's or guardian's permission).
- We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as the Standard EULA describes.
- Please don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app, or try to get into other people's data.
3.Subscriptions and trials
- The app is free to download. Full access needs a subscription, bought through your Apple ID. The price and period are shown before you buy.
- If a free trial is offered, your subscription starts and you are charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
- Manage or cancel any time in your iPhone's Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. To ask for a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If a price changes, Apple will tell you beforehand as its rules require.
4.Manna and rewards
Manna, buildings, characters, items and medals are earned by praying, reading and keeping the habit. Manna can't be bought, has no cash value, can't be exchanged or transferred, and isn't your property. We may rebalance how rewards work to keep the app fair and fun.
5.Prayer Circle rules
Prayer Circle lets you pray with friends you invite. When you share there, please be kind. Don't post anything that is:
- hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual or violent;
- illegal, or encouraging harm to yourself or others;
- someone else's private information, or pretending to be someone you're not;
- spam or advertising.
You can report or block anyone, and we review reports. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules. You keep ownership of what you write. By sharing it, you let us store it and show it to the friends in your circle, only to run the feature. You can delete your circle account and everything you shared at any time in Settings.
6.Scripture and content
- English Scripture is from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is in the public domain. Bibles in other languages are used under their own licences.
- Cross-references are from OpenBible.info (CC BY).
- The Safari filter uses public block lists, including StevenBlack/hosts (MIT) and the lists it combines.
- Everything else in the app (text, explanations, prayers, art, characters and design) belongs to us and is for your personal use.
We work hard to explain the Bible faithfully, but notes and explanations are our own summaries. Scripture itself is the authority.
7.Not professional advice
The app is for prayer, reflection and building a habit. It is not medical, psychological, counselling or crisis support. Courses such as "Overcome anxiety" share what Scripture says. They don't diagnose or treat anything.
If you're in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number now, or a crisis line. In the United States, call or text 988. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential helplines.
8.Reminders, filters and locks
Reminders, the phone-down timer, Goodnight mode, the night lock and the Safari filter are there to help, but they depend on your iPhone's settings and can't be perfect. A notification can be missed if notifications are off. The Safari filter covers Safari only and can't block every site. The night lock depends on Apple's Screen Time and the settings you choose. Please don't rely on them for anything critical.
9.No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or meet every need. Keep iCloud on if you want your data backed up.
10.Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
11.Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. When we change the terms, we'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app. You can stop using the app at any time; cancelling your subscription is done through Apple (see section 3). We may suspend access for serious or repeated breaks of these terms.
12.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without affecting any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
